Holotype:

 

Vietnam, Province Nghe An, Tuong Duong District, Tam Quang Municipality, Tung Huong village, along Khe Mat stream around point 19°03′15″ N, 104°36′19″ E; 500–560 m, HLF 6705, March 18th, 2007, (HN, Iso LE).

Perigonium anguste infundibuliforme, flavum, 25–30 mm longum. Pistillum minutum, 5 mm longum, stigmate minuto, capitato. Rhizome ∅ 5–8 mm, covered by fibrously decaying scale leaves; Pet iole 8–10 cm; Lamina ovate, ca. 16–18 × 4.5–5.5 cm, with narrowed, sharply pointed tip, base cuneate, each half with 4–5 secondary veins, between them 5–9 weak tertiary veins with scattered anastomoses; Flower s solitary or in groups of 2–3, peduncle ca. 3–5 mm, with some pale scale leaves, perigone narrow funnel-shaped to nearly tubular, 25–30 mm long, fleshy, completely light yellow, tube ∅ ca. 6 mm, lobes 6, ovate to ligulate, 7–8 × 3–4 mm, straight, obliquely divaricate, without keels; Stamens 6, at upper end of tube, anthers subsessile, lineate, ca. 5 mm long, connectives with white apical appendages approaching each other and thus narrowing the flower entrance; Pi s t i l very small, slender, ca. 5 mm long, white, ovar inconspicuous, style cylindrical, stigma capitate, hardly wider than style. Fruit black.
