Description from protologue:
| Rhizome epi- or hypogeous, long creeping, slender, ∅ 3–4 mm, covered with small, triangular, blackish-brown scales; Petiole slender, 15–20 cm; Lamina ovate, base rounded, 14–17 × 7–8 cm, midvein somewhat prominent at lower surface, secondary veins 3 at each side, 7–9 fine tertiary veins between them; Flower s solitary, peduncle 1.0–1.5 cm, basally with 2–3 small brown scales, distally with 2 pointed white bracts adjacent to flower base, 1.0–1.5 cm long; Perigone campanulate, outsides glossy silvery-white, lobes 6, in two circles, white, ovate with rounded apex, without ribs, 8 mm long, lobes of outer circle 8 × 10 mm, those of inner circle 8 × 7 mm, tube insides deep purple to nearly black, 15 mm long; perigone shape and size changing during individual flowering period: at first day tube Ø 15 mm, lobes horizontally spreading, at second day tube Ø 20 mm, lobes curved backwards, at third day flower collapsing; Stamens 6, near base of tube wall, filaments horizontal, ca. 1 mm long, anthers facing bottom of tube; Pistil table-shaped, ovar inconspicuous, style slender, cylindrical, 4–5 mm long, stigma disk-shaped, rounded, with 3 shallow marginal incisions, Ø ca. 8 mm, white, smooth, flat to slightly convex, margins bent downward. |
